Such an amazing camp facility. Well set up for the children to explore and create. Bedding and utilities are perfect to cater for bigger groups. The communication from Camp organiser Vanessa was outstanding. The Risk assessment forms and the teaching programs that come with using this camp facility makes the job so easy and safe for all parties involved. The food was AMAZING. A well thought out menu that catered for all eating types. We really liked the pre contact regarding health and allergies in terms of food preparations as we had a couple of children who required no gluten and allergies to some nuts. This was very reassuring as well as enjoyable for the children and the adults who were able to enjoy the delicious food. Highly recommended this place and we will be back for sure. Thank you Camp Waimanaaki, you truly tick all the boxes for us.

Opaki School

We attended camp this year at Waimanaaki with 60 Year 3 and 4 students. The students, parents and staff had the most wonderful EOTC experience. Vanessa was extremely great to deal with from the get go. Excellent communication, always answering questions, very helpful and doing her absolute best to make the camp a fabulous experience for our students. We appreciated  the necessary paperwork and information provided. Our students thrived at camp, thoroughly enjoyed the activities on offer - the favourites being slug gun shooting, water slide and of course the famous sock wrestling.  Accommodation was fabulous and a great setup for this age group with bunk rooms and bathroom attached. Last not least was the amazing food provided, Nat the chef cooked top notch food, catered for specific food allergies, and was always smiling and helpful. Waimanaaki is a credit to the Learn ‘n’ Live Ministries Charitable Trust and you should be proud of the staff and what you have on offer at your camp. We will certainly be returning to camp at Waimanaaki.

For the past 3 years we have had an International Orientation camp at Waimanaaki with anything from 40-60 international students per year. Each year the camp has gone from strength to strength and we have received nothing but positive feedback from our students and staff about the venue and camp management.

Nothing seems too much trouble for the staff at the camp and our students rave about the great food. We are already looking forward to our camp in 2021!

We stayed at Waimanaaki for a school choir camp and it was simply fantastic! Vanessa was an amazing host and nothing was too much trouble for her, she was very accommodating to say the least. Accommodation was clean and a good size. There was plenty of room for rehearsals and the grounds were great. The food was out of this world and we were very spoilt with homemade bread each day. Chef Nat went above and beyond and there was a variety of food served up each day. Thank you for everything, we are looking forward to coming back next year!

Our Year 7 and 8 students had a fabulous time participating in activities ranging from archery, quad bike riding, kayaking, and paintballing. The site lends itself to team challenges with raft building, orienteering and group sand sculptures. All this in beautiful Riversdale with a pristine beach and rock pool area for the children to enjoy… amazing experience. This along with incredible food, great accommodation and high tech facilities make it one of the best camps our school has been to! Our hosts are very welcoming and incredibly helpful, going out of their way to ensure all children have an unforgettable time away from home! We are definitely ‘booking in’ for next year!
